The hunk had planned to buy two lovebirds for his ladylove in a romantic gesture because Mila and their kids had been watching birds nesting outside their window.
Daring to impress, the Black Swan actress tied a blue and white check oxford around her waist as she enjoyed her afternoon stroll.
The outing comes after Mila revealed her husband's romantic plan on Valentine's Day didn't go to plan in a major mishap.
However, Mila dramatically recalled how her love was tricked into buying two parakeets instead of lovebirds by a sneaky pet store owner.
During Ellen DeGeneres' chat show in late February, she said: 'So for Valentine’s Day, Ashton got me two little lovebirds… and we took them to the bird lady you [the host] recommended.
'And when we brought our little lovebirds in to get their nails trimmed or, you know, things that people do with birds, she informed us that we, in fact, did not have lovebirds but instead have parakeets.'
TV host Ellen joked parakeets only cost about $10 while lovebirds come with a bigger price tag while she discussed the error with her guest.
Mila admitted: 'They lied to him and sold him lovebirds and they were parakeets.'
